General

The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
Clear signs will be displayed that proof of age can be required and clear information on what kind of proof will be accepted
Crime Prevention Notice will be displayed
A sign will be displayed that states ‘No drinks allowed in this area’
A log book will be maintained with all incidents of Crime and/or Disorder on the premises, incidents of drug abuse and or drugs that are seized
Challenge 21 Scheme will be in force
There will be a CCTV system on site and a record kept for 30 days
Public Safety
A suitable Fire Risk Assessment will be in place
Exit doors will be signed and regularly checked of which a record will be kept
There will be adequate first aid equipment on site
There will be suitable liability insurance
The premises will operate a no smoking policy
There will be electrical inspections
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
Refuse receptacles will be cleaned weekly
Staff training will be in place and advising to ask customers to leave the premises quietly
The area around the premises will be kept clear
The Protection of Children from Harm
A sign will be displayed that states ‘No ID, No Sale’
Staff training will be given and provided regularly
Annex 3 - Conditions agreed through mediation with Suffolk Constabulary and attached after a hearing by the licensing authority
1. CCTV shall be provided in the form of a recordable system, capable of providing pictures of evidential quality in all lighting conditions particularly facial recognition. Cameras shall encompass all ingress and egress to the premises, fire exits, outside areas and all areas where the sale/supply of alcohol occurs. Equipment must be maintained in good working order, be correctly time and date stamped, recordings must be kept in date order, numbered sequentially and kept for a period of no less than 28 days and made available to Police on demand. The Premises Licence Holder must ensure at all times a DPS or appointed member of staff is capable and competent at downloading CCTV footage in a viewable format on disc or storage device to the Police/Local Authority within 36 hours of a request. The Recording equipment and discs/storage media shall be kept in a secure environment under the control of the DPS or other responsible named individual. An operational daily log report must be maintained endorsed by signature, indicating the system has been checked and is compliant, in the event of any failings; actions taken are to be recorded. In the event of technical failure of the CCTV equipment, the Premises Licence Holder/DPS shall report the failure to the Police and Licensing Authority immediately.
2. No Super Strength Lagers, Beers or Ciders - (6.5% alcohol by volume or above) to be sold from the premises, (either cans or bottles).
3. A refusal book will be kept at the premises and maintained at all times. This will be provided to Police and all other Responsible Authorities on request and can be used for incidents at the premises as well.
4. In respect of Staff training we would like to see records maintained.
