Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Premises Operating Schedule
Conditions offered by applicant
Plays, Performance of Dance and events involving recorded music will take place no more than 6 times a year
Events involving Live Music will take place no more than 12 times a year
Prevention of Crime & Disorder
1. Entry to all regulated entertainment will be by ticket only.
2. The entrance to the licensed premises will be supervised by members of Institute staff at all times.
3. Members of staff will have access to telephones in case an alarm has to be raised.
4. Alcohol will be served only in glasses or plastic containers and not in bottles.
5. No customers will be admitted, or permitted to leave when carrying alcohol.
6. Consumption of alcohol will be restricted to the areas identified for such purposes on the plan attached to the operating schedule.
7. Any person selling or supplying alcohol under the authority of a personal licence holder will ask for a photo ID proof of age where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be under 18 years of age.
Public Safety
8. The number of tickets available for regulated entertainments will be limited to the maximum capacity of the room in which the event is taking place, as specified in the Operating Schedule.
9. Escape routes and exits, including external exits, will be maintained to ensure that they are not obstructed, in good order and free of trip hazards.
10. Where chairs and tables are provided, internal gangways will be kept unobstructed.
11. All exit doors will be easily openable and will not require the use of a key, card, code or similar means and all such doors will be regularly checked to ensure that they function satisfactorily.
12. Risk Assessments are regularly carried out and reviewed and a Risk Management Plan is in place.
13. Fire action procedures are defined and made known to all staff and notices are prominently displayed.
14. All Institute staff undergo First Aid Appointed Person training.
15. A full maintenance programme is in place for all systems on the premises - electrical, gas boilers and appliances, alarms, portable fire fighting equipment.
16. The Institute maintains valid public liability insurance.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
17. When appropriate doors and windows will be kept closed to reduce noise nuisance from the premises.
18. Receptacles for waste will be emptied regularly and areas used for off-premises smoking will be cleared of litter after each event.
Protection of Children from Harm
19. Persons under the age of 18 will not be allowed to attend any event, such as a wine tasting, that is exclusively or primarily for the sale or consumption of alcohol.
