Current Fire Certificate always in force with automatic fire detection system under maintenance contract
Staff fully trained in evacuation procedures with all exits clearly marked and checked clear of obstructions
CCTV recorded on site
The Protection of Children from Harm:
No under 18 years allowed without adult supervision

CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER
The premises shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system as per the minimum requirements of the Police. All entry and exit points will be covered, as will all areas where licensable activities are happening, enabling frontal identification of every person entering in any light condition. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and during all times when customers remain on the premises. All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 30 days with date and time stamping.
Recordings shall be made available immediately upon the request of Police or authorised officer throughout the preceding 30 day period.
A staff member who is conversant with the operation of the CCTV system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open to the public. This staff member will be able to show a Police or Authorised Licensing Officer recent data or footage with the absolute minimum delay when requested and be able to download relevant footage onto a disc or memory stick.
A CCTV log must be maintained and endorsed by signature indicating that the system is checked weekly. In the event of any failings or faults, any actions taken to remedy the failings or faults are recorded. In the event of technical failure of the CCTV equipment, the Premises Licence Holder or DPS will report the failure to the Police and Licensing Authority immediately.
5. A log shall be kept at the premises for a minimum of 12 months from the date of each entry and made available on request to an authorised officer of the Ipswich Council or the Police. It must be completed within 24 hours of the incident and will record the following: (a) all crimes reported to the venue (b) all ejections of patrons (c) any complaints received concerning crime and disorder (d) any incidents of disorder (e) any refusal of service and (f) any visit by a relevant authority or emergency service.
A Challenge 25 policy must be implemented whereby all customers who appear to be under 25 must produce photographic identification in the form of a passport, driving licence or proof of age scheme (PASS) approved identification before alcohol can be supplied or sold to them. All staff will be instructed, through training, that alcohol cannot be supplied or sold unless this evidence is produced.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that notices shall be prominently displayed in the premises to advise patrons and staff that a ‘Challenge 25’ scheme operates in the premises.
All staff engaged in the sale of alcohol to be trained in responsible alcohol retailing to the minimum standard of BIIAB level 1 or equivalent (which includes relevant in-house training), within three months of commencing employment at the premises. All staff to be given refresher training every quarter.
Fully auditable training records should be maintained for all staff in respect of the sale of alcohol. These will be made available for inspection upon request to the Police and all other Responsible Authorities.
Off sales of alcohol will only be made during pre-booked events.
Off sales of alcohol will only be in sealed containers.
12.. We will ensure that the consumption of alcohol is restricted to the areas identified on the plan attached to the operating schedule.
13. We will ensure that the maximum occupancy of the licensed premises is restricted at any one time to 150
14. We will ensure that any person selling or supplying alcoholic drink under the authority of a personal licence holder asks for a photo ID proof of age where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be under 21 years of age.
15. We will ensure that lighting is provided outside the premises (and in my private car park) during the hours of darkness when any licensable activity takes place on the premises.
CONDITIONS RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY
16. We will make sure that escape routes and exits, including external exits, are maintained to ensure that they are not obstructed, in good order with non-slippery and even surfaces, free of trip hazards and clearly identified.
17. We will make sure that where chairs and tables are provided, internal gangways are kept unobstructed.
18. We will make sure that all exit doors are easily openable and do not require the use of a key, card, code or similar means
19. We will make sure that doors at such exits are regularly checked to ensure that they function satisfactorily and a record of the check is kept.
20. We will make sure that all fire doors are maintained effectively self-closing and not held open other than by approved devices (for example, electromagnetic releases operated by smoke detectors).
21. We will make sure that fire resisting doors to ducts, service shafts, and cupboards are kept locked shut.
22. We will make sure that the edges of the treads of steps and stairways are maintained so as to be conspicuous.
23. We will make sure that any upholstered seating meets on a continuous basis the pass criteria for smouldering ignition source 0, flaming ignition source 1 and crib ignition source 5 when tested in accordance with section 5 of Bs 5852:1990.
24. We will make sure that Hangings, curtains and temporary decorations are arranged so as not to obstruct exits, fire safety signs or fire-fighting equipment.
25. We will make sure that notices detailing the action to be taken in the event of fire or other emergencies, including how the fire brigade should be summoned, are prominently displayed and protected from damage and deterioration.
26. The fire brigade will be called at once to any outbreak of fire, however slight, and the details recorded in a Fire Log-book.
27. Access for emergency vehicles is kept clear and free from obstruction
28. We will make sure that when disabled people are present, adequate arrangements exist to enable their safe evacuation in the event of an emergency, and that patrons are made aware of these arrangements;
29. We will make sure that adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials is available on the premises
30. We will make sure that at least 1 trained first aider will be on duty when the public are present
31. In the absence of adequate daylight, I will make sure that the lighting in any area accessible to the public is fully operational;
32. We will make sure that Fire safety signs are adequately illuminated;
33. We will not alter Emergency lighting without prior notification to the Licensing Authority
34. We will make sure that Emergency lighting batteries are fully charged before admission of the public;
35. In the event of failure of normal lighting, where the emergency lighting battery has a capacity of one hour, I will make sure that evacuation of the premises is possible within 20 minutes;
36. Where the emergency lighting battery has a capacity of three hours, I will make sure that evacuation of the premises is possible within one hour;
37. We will make sure that the following systems are maintained and inspected by suitably qualified professional persons in accordance with any British Standards and at intervals recommended in national guidance, and will keep the records of such inspections available for inspection by authorised officers on request: Building Electrical Installation Emergency Lighting System Fire Warning System Gas boiler, calorifier or appliance Portable fire fighting equipment
38. We will make sure that I have valid public liability insurance in force and that a copy of the schedule is available for inspection by an authorised officer on request.
39. We will not alter the premises in such a way as to make it impossible to comply with an existing licence condition, without first seeking a variation of the premises licence. (N.B This will enable you to propose the amendment of any conditions that you would not be able to comply with upon completion of works)
40. We will make free drinking water available at all times the premises is open to the public;
CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE
41. We will ensure that offensive smells from the licensed premises are not permitted so as to cause a nuisance to nearby properties and the premises are properly vented.
42. Ensure that receptacles for waste are emptied regularly to minimise nuisance smells.
43. We will ensure that flashing or particularly bright lights on or outside the licensed premises do not cause a nuisance to nearby properties, whilst balancing the need for lighting in the interests of prevention of crime and disorder.
44. We will provide adequate and suitable (lidded) receptacles to receive and store refuse from the premises/site
45. We will make sure that receptacles for refuse storage are maintained in a clean condition.
46. We will make sure litter is regularly cleared from the vicinity of the premises
