Conditions offered by applicant
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
CCTV
CCTV is installed and is working to the satisfaction of the Police and the Local Authority
Video/CCTV equipment will be set to record 24 hours a day
Recordings will be maintained for a period of not less than 28 days unless the evidence is required to be kept for future use by the Police or the Local Authority
If the CCTV equipment is inoperative, the Police and Local Authority will be informed as soon as possible and immediate steps will be taken to put the equipment back into action
A notice is prominently displayed inside the premises advising that CCTV is in operation
Capacity Limits
A capacity limit will be set to prevent overcrowding which could lead to crime and disorder
Proof of Age Cards
Any person selling alcoholic drink under the authority of a personal licence holder will ask for photo ID proof of age where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be under 18 years of age
‘Challenge 21’ will be supported and promoted
Notices
A Crime Prevention notice will be displayed warning customers that thieves will be prosecuted
A notice is prominently displayed reminding customers that under 16’s are not allowed to purchase cigarettes and under 18’s are not allowed to purchase alcohol
An incident book will be kept to record details of all instances of public disorder and when customers are turned away due to lack of proof of age
Public Safety
CCTV, Capacity Limits & Notices as above
Fire Safety
The exit door will regularly be checked to ensure that it functions satisfactorily
All walk through areas will be maintained with non-slippery and even surfaces
All floor coverings will be secured and maintained so that they will not ruck
Hangings and Temporary Decorations
Hangings and temporary decorations will be maintained in a flame-retardant condition and will not obstruct exit, notice or fire-fighting equipment
Disabled People
When disabled people are present, adequate arrangements will exist to enable their safe evacuation in the event of an emergency
Disabled people on the premises will be made aware of these arrangements
First Aid
Adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials is available on the premises
Lighting
In the absence of adequate daylight, the lighting in any area accessible to the public is fully operational
Fire safety signs will be adequately illuminated
Public Liability Insurance
I will make sure that I have valid public liability insurance in force and that a copy of the schedule is available for inspection by an authorised officer on request
Alterations to the Premises
A variation of the premises licence will be sought, for any alteration of the premises which would make it impossible to comply with an existing licence condition
Alternative steps to be taken to take the public safety objective will be proposed if necessary
General
Overcrowding will not be allowed in any part of the premises
The Premises will be adequately ventilated in all areas to which the staff and public have access
Prevention of Public Nuisance
Noise Pollution
Noise will not be audible at the façade of the premises
Light Pollution
Bright lights on or outside licensed premises will not cause a nuisance to nearby properties
General
Anti-crime notices will be displayed at all times on the premises
If there are any queues inside or outside the premises, this will be monitored by a member of staff to ensure compliance with the licensing objectives
