Conditions offered by applicant
General
Training of all staff on the premises to ensure that they understand and adhere to the law relating to the sale of alcohol
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
CCTV installed and maintained so fully operational at all times and tapes to be kept in accordance with police guidelines
Alarm system in place
Shutters at front windows
Public Safety
All staff trained to deal with any outbreak of fire at the premises
Fire extinguishers installed and regularly serviced in accordance with fire authority guidelines
Fire risk assessment and emergency plan completed
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
Anyone who is heavily intoxicated or appears to be purchasing alcohol for someone who is heavily intoxicated will be refused the sale of alcohol
The Protection of Children from Harm
Any young person who appears to be under the age of 21 will be asked to show a universally recognized form of ID (ie. Proof of age card, passport or photo driving licence) before being allowed to purchase alcohol from the premises
Sign to be displayed at point of sale: ‘no proof of age - no sale’
Refusal book to be kept at the premises and maintained at all times
Conditions agreed through mediation with Suffolk Police Constabulary
Alcohol sale times
CCTV:
The holder of the premises licence shall also use his best endeavours to ensure that CCTV equipment is checked prior to the start of licensable activity and that at least 75% of it is in operation at all times.
The holder of the premises licence is to ensure that repairs to the system are done as soon as reasonably practicable. All CCTV recordings are to be retained for a minimum period of 28 days.
