Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the Club Operating Schedule
Embedded Conditions
Permitted Hours
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours means:
a) On days, other than Christmas Day or Good Friday, as stated on the Club Premises Certificate
b) On Good Friday, noon to 10.30 p.m.
c) On Christmas day, as provided by the rules of the club and notified in writing by the chairman or secretary of the club to the chief executive of the justices for the petty sessions area in which the premises are. The said hours shall:
i. not exceed six and a half hours;
ii. not begin earlier than noon;
iii. not end later than 10.30 p.m.
iv. provide for a break of at least 2 hours, including 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.;
v. not extend for more than three and a half hours after 5 p.m.
d) On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours to the start of permitted hours on the following day.
Restrictions
The above restrictions do not prohibit:
a) the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
Credit Sales
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied with and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal.
Conditions Offered by the Applicant
1. Existing CCTV covering St. Stephen’s Church Lane, the door entry camera and also exterior lights to be maintained in effective, working condition.
2. Club Management, Steward, Bar Staff and Door Steward must be informed of the objectives and statutory requirements to comply with the relevant provisions of the Licensing Act 2003.
3. Members and guests to be requested to vacate the premises at closing time in an orderly manner and quietly
4. Persons under the age of 18 only to be admitted to the premises if accompanied by a member.
5. Consumption of alcohol will only be permitted on the premises during the permitted hours for the sale of alcohol and up to 30 minutes after.
Conditions Offered by the Applicant at variation stage
The Prevention of Crime & Disorder
It is proposed that any chairs or tables will be chained at night to prevent theft or if light enough will be brought into the club every night
Public Safety
Applicant has installed an additional fire extinguisher in the cellar (foam) and changed the extinguisher located inside the lounge from water to foam
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
Signs will be displayed asking members to keep the courtyard tidy and noise to a reasonable level
