Conditions offered via Operating Schedule:
Measures To Assist The Prevention Crime and Disorder:
The licensee will ensure that any person selling or supplying alcoholic drinks under the authority of a personal licence holder asks for a photo I.D. proof of age where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be under 18 years of age.
The licensee will ensure that the consumption of alcohol is restricted to the areas identified on the plan attached to the Licence.
Where glass bottles are used, they will be retained or disposed of on the premises.
The licensee will use or employ Door Supervisors when a licensable activity is being carried out where the licensee considers them necessary. These Door Supervisors will help to:
1. Prevent the admission and ensure the departure from the premises of drunk or disorderly persons, without causing any further disorder.
2. Keep out excluded individuals (subject to court or Pubwatch bans)
3. Search and exclude persons suspected of carrying illegal drugs or offensive weapons.
4. Prevent customers from entering or leaving the premises with glasses or open bottles.
The licensee will ensure that any Door Supervisors that are used are registered by the Security Industry Authority.
The licensee has installed CCTV equipment inside and outside the premises, which records 24 hours a day continuously for up to 14 days.
Signs advising that CCTV is in constant use will be clearly visible at the entrance to the premises.
The licensee will implement a policy agreed by Police and Local Authority concerning prohibited substances.
The licensee will ensure that a secure place is available on the premises for the retention of confiscated items and ensure the Police are advised of any items requiring safe disposal.
The licensee shall also ensure that public information notices about crime and disorder issues are displayed at the request of the Council or Local Constabulary.
During sessions of erotic dancing, the licensee will ensure that access to the dressing room is restricted at all times, until the performers have vacated the premises, and that there will be no audience participation in such performances.
The licensee will adopt and comply with the British Beer and Pub Associations Guidelines on On-Trade promotions
The licensee will participate in the local Pubwatch scheme operating in the Borough
Measures to assist In Public Safety:
The licensee will ensure that escape routes and exits, including external exits and gangways are maintained to ensure they are not obstructed.
The licensee will regularly check the operation of the fire exits and fire door electromagnetic closers and ensure the door mechanisms are functioning satisfactorily.
The licensee will ensure notices detailing the action to be taken in the event of a fire or other emergency, including how the fire brigade should be summoned, are prominently displayed.
The licensee will ensure the fire alarm and emergency lighting are tested regularly and the results entered into the Fire Safety logbook.
The licensee will ensure a stocked first aid box is available on the premises. During the hours of darkness, within opening times, the licensee will ensure that the premises is well lit internally and externally any areas to which the public have access.
The licensee will make sure the Fire Exit signs are adequately illuminated.
Where disabled persons are present, the licensee will ensure that they have the assistance of staff to evacuate in the event of an emergency.
The licensee will ensure that the following systems are maintained and inspected by suitably qualified professional persons in accordance with any British Standards at intervals recommended in national guidance, and will keep the records of such inspections available for inspection by authorised officers on request:

Fire Alarm System
Gas Boiler
Portable Fire Fighting Equipment
The licensee will ensure there is a valid Public Liability Insurance in force and a copy of the certificate is available for inspection by an authorised officer on request.
Measures To Prevent Public Nuisance:
The licensee will display prominent notices on exits requesting patrons to respect the needs of local residents and to leave the premises in a quiet and orderly manner.
The licensee will make sure that any reasonable request by an authorised officer of the Council in relation to reducing noise is complied with.
The licensee will ensure that outside bins are emptied regularly to minimise nuisance smells.
The licensee will make sure that litter is regularly cleared fromthe vicinity of the premises.
Measures to Protect Children From Harm:
A Crime prevention policy agreed by Police and Local Authority will be operated if requested.
The licensee will implement a Proof Of Age policy agreed by Police and Local Authority.
No admittance to persons under the age of 16 to the premises without adult supervision.
The licensee will ensure that no persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to play AWP machines - this will be monitored by the bar staff as the AWP machines will be situated within sight of the main bar.
Any performances of erotic dancing will be in the Function Rooms only, to which there will be no admittance to persons under the age of 18, and will be monitored by Door Supervisors.
Conditions offered through mediation with the Police:
Late night refreshment to be readily available to customers until 30 minutes prior to closing time on any day
Auditable procedures to be in place to ensure that all staff are trained and briefed as to their responsibilities with regard to the supply of alcohol on the premises.
A minimum of 2 SIA registered door supervisors to be present on premises from 22:00 until end of hours during which premises is open to the public on Friday and Saturday nights to ensure that.
o Drunk and disorderly persons are refused admission to / ejected from the premises without causing further disorder.
o Excluded individuals (subject of court or Pubwatch bans) are prevented from entering the premises.
Min. of 2 SIA supervisors to be present for “erotic” dancing events from 1hour before the commencement of such events until 1 hour after conclusion of the same.
For “erotic” dancing events and private functions the requirement for door staff to be in addition to any SIA staff required on Fri-Sat nights as above.
For any other private function e.g. 18th birthday parties a minimum of 1 SIA supervisor to be present on premises from 1 hour before to 1 hour after that event
On Ipswich Town match days a minimum of 2 (more if requested by police) SIA registered door staff from 2hrs prior to kick off to closing time on those days.
The holder of the premises licence shall use their best endeavours to ensure that CCTV equipment is maintained in good working order, monitored during licensable activity and covers all areas used for licensable activity. The holder of the premises licence shall also use their best endeavours to ensure that CCTV equipment is checked prior to the start of licensable activity and that at least 75% of it is in operation at all times. The holder of the premises licence is to ensure that repairs to the system are done as soon as reasonably practicable. Relevant data to be retained for a minimum period of 14 days.
The premises should be a member of the Leisure Link Radio Scheme or other police approved scheme to provide a means of two way communication to report incidents between the premises and the local Police or CCTV Monitoring Centre and that any means of communication is maintained in good working order.
No persons under 16 years of age to be on the premises for any reason whatsoever after 22.00 on any day except in relation to private functions where such persons must vacate the premises by no later than 23:00
Children under 16yrs of age must be accompanied whilst on the premises at all times by an adult who will be required to maintain proper control of them.
To ensure that any person selling or supplying alcoholic drink under the authority of a personal licence holder follows the guidelines contained within the Suffolk Constabulary Challenge 21 Scheme and asks for photo ID proof of age where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be under 21 years of age.
When requested by the Police to do so to ensure that drinks are only available for consumption from plastic glasses.
To ensure a secure deposit box is kept on the premises for the retention of confiscated items and ensure that the Police are advised of any items which require safe disposal.
The Designated Premises Supervisor, or a person nominated by them, is to participate in the local Pubwatch / Nightsafe scheme operating in the Borough.
